SUPPOSEDLY-THOROUGHLY-INSPECTED VEHICLE FROM SHIFT SOLD WITH WRONG OIL FILTER CAUSING ENGINE FAILURE?
Beckman v. Shift Operations LLC – San Francisco
In February 2021 our client bought a 2012 BMW online from Shift, which advertised the BMW as having undergone a 239-point inspection including checking for oil leaks. However, the BMW was later found to have oil leaks and then broke down shortly after purchase with metal shavings in the oil causing the engine to fail, and a BMW repair shop found that the cause was someone installed the wrong oil filter on the BMW. If you bought a vehicle in reliance on written ads promising the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and the vehicle turned out to be defective, please contact david@rbblawgroup.com.
