Patiag v. Marimart, Inc., et al. – Accident-Damaged “Certified Pre-Owned”

In the case of Patiag v. Marimart, Inc., et al., Woodland Hills Honda is alleged to have sold Mr. Patiag a 2016 “Certified Pre-Owned” Honda CR-V. Like many consumers, Mr. Patiag believed Honda’s “Certified Pre-Owned” stamp of approval meant the car had been thoroughly inspected and had not been in any accidents. After all, Honda itself holds out its “HondaTrue Certified” program as providing “benefits that other programs can’t match, like a certification process that delivers industry-leading accuracy, transparency and peace of mind.” Moreover, Woodland Hills Honda allegedly provided Mr. Patiag with a “clean” CARFAX Report. Yet, Mr. Patiag–an average consumer–discovered signs of accident damage, including body work, mismatched hardware, and prior paintwork.

If you, too, purchased a “Certified Pre-Owned” car based on your understanding that it had been thoroughly inspected and had not been in any accidents, when in fact it had been in a prior wreck, contact Rosner, Barry & Babbitt, LLP’s Auto Fraud Legal Center for a FREE evaluation of your rights.
