Owner of BMW Certified Pre-Owned Discovers Dealer Lied About Accident History?
Our client bought a Certified Pre-Owned (“CPO”) 2016 BMW i3 Rex from Century City BMW, located in Los Angeles County. While negotiating the purchase, the dealer found an accident on a Carfax report for the vehicle. Our client was obviously not interested in purchasing a vehicle with an accident history, especially one designated as certified pre-owned. Believing he was purchasing a vehicle that was thoroughly inspected, reconditioned, and approved by a BMW inspection team of BMW trained technicians, our client did not expect the vehicle was ever involved in an accident. In fact, the dealer assured him the vehicle was never involved in an accident.
Our client later discovered that vehicle history reports, such as Carfax, showed the vehicle involved in a motor vehicle accident before Century City BMW certified, advertised, and sold the vehicle to our client.
Not knowing what to do, he reached out to the Auto Fraud Legal Center. The attorneys at Rosner, Barry & Babbitt specialize in dealer fraud and deceptive business practices and have filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court in order to right this wrong.
