New Legislation!
RBB, and our clients, worked closely with consumer advocates in the California Legislature to help get new legislation passed. In the past, some finance companies claimed they are not responsible for attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses incurred by consumers. AB 1821 make clear that those finance companies are wrong. If a consumer has a right to recover attorney’s fees, costs, or expenses from the retail seller, they also have a right to those same fees, costs, and expenses from the finance company.
