Litigation Update: Mercedes-Benz of Stockton and Mercedes-Benz, U.S.A.

Our case against Mercedes-Benz of Stockton and Mercedes-Benz, U.S.A. has settled.

Our clients purchased a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 from Mercedes-Benz of Stockton. After purchase, our clients discovered the vehicle had been involved in an accident. Upon further inspection, it was clear the accident caused structural damage to the vehicle. Our clients reached out to our firm for help.

After filing a lawsuit in the San Joaquin Superior Court, our firm expertly prosecuted the case and discovered evidence that Mercedes-Benz of Stockton knew the vehicle had been involved in a accident before selling it to our clients. And, of course, they certified it.

It is illegal in California for a dealership to advertise or sell a vehicle as “certified” if it has sustained frame damage, even if it was repaired.

Our firm was able to settle the case before trial and recovered ALL of our clients’ money, as well as additional compensation. Our firm is submitting our attorneys’ fees and costs to the judge at the San Joaquin Superior Court for determination. Stay tuned!
