Lemon Laundering?

Our client bought a 2015 Chrysler 200 from Lodi Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, located in San Joaquin County. During the vehicle’s warranty period, our client began experiencing transmission problems. After numerous attempts, FCA’s Lodi dealership was unable to fix the transmission issues.

Rather than repurchase the 2015 Chrysler, our client alleges FCA encouraged her to trade it in to the Lodi dealership for a 2016 model. This is classic “lemon laundering,” where the manufacturer avoids the requirement of branding a vehicle’s title by taking the vehicle as a trade-in. Furthermore, our client began experiencing transmission issues with the 2016 Chrysler 200, as well. Now, the attorneys at the Auto Fraud Legal Center have filed a lawsuit in the San Joaquin Superior Court on her behalf.
