How many miles were on your “new” car?

Did you recently purchase a new car with a suspicious number of miles on it? If so, you may have fallen victim to auto fraud. In a recently filed case, one of our clients alleges that Porsche of Walnut Creek in Contra Costa County sold him a new Porsche that had been used as a demo/service vehicle. The vehicle had over 200 miles on it, which the dealership allegedly explained away with misinformation. Unbeknownst to our client, the vehicle’s warranty had already started six months before the sale. It is illegal for a dealership to sell you a demo/loaner vehicle without clearly disclosing that it was a demo/loaner vehicle. If you suspect you may be the victim of this type of fraud, ask for Serena D. Aisenman at 858-348-1005.
