DID LEXUS OF GLENADLE SELL A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLE WITH PRIOR DAMAGE?

Our client purchased a 2015 Lexus E350 as a certified pre-owned vehicle from Lexus of Glendale in Los Angeles County. Lexus advertises that their CPO vehicles have undergone a 161-point inspection by master technicians and are inspected for any structural damage. California law prohibits dealers from advertising or selling vehicles with frame damage as “certified.” However, shortly after purchasing the vehicle, our client learned the truth: the vehicle had been involved in an accident and had structural damage. The prior repairs were obvious, but Lexus of Glendale certified the vehicle anyways.
