Our client bought a 2011 Ford Flex from Auto Retail Group in February 2021. California law requires a dealer to have a valid smog certificate issued within the last 2 years for the vehicle at the time of sale. However, Auto Retail Group allegedly didn’t have the Ford smogged before selling it to our client, despite charging him $50.00 for the pre-sale smog check and $8.25 for the smog certificate. The Ford then had its check-engine light light up, and when Auto Retail Group told our client to have the Ford smogged, the Ford allegedly failed two post-sale smog checks. Lilia Guizar was my attorney in a recent fraud case and I am so impressed with the outcome. The process was quick and easy. This legal team is amazing! Yes our case took time but they were always ready to answer any of our questions and we had a lot!
