Dealer sells accident damaged car despite saying no accidents.

Car Macs, in Santa Ana in Orange County, sold a 2014 Ford Escape to a Spanish-speaking consumer. Before agreeing to buy the Escape, the consumer asked if it had been in any accident, and the dealer allegedly said no. The Dealer’s salesman also allegedly said the dealer inspected all cars it offers for sale. The dealer then allegedly tried to sell the car “as-is” despite telling the consumer it came with a 30 day warranty. Relying on the dealer’s representations, the consumer agreed to buy the Escape. After buying the car, the consumer discovered the car had been in an accident before she bought it and that airbags had deployed. On top of that, despite the negotiations for the car purchase being primarily in Spanish, the dealer did not give her Spanish-language translations of all her contracts for the car purchase. This consumer is now seeking to right these wrongs.
