ANOTHER BUY-HERE-PAY-HERE DEALERSHIP ISN’T FOLLOWING THE RULES! Norman v. Hawthorne Auto Square, Inc.
Our client purchased a used 2015 Chevrolet Cruz from Hawthorne Auto Square in Hawthorne, California. One the same day she purchased the vehicle, it started having mechanical problems. Our client alleges she provided Hawthorne Auto Square at least two opportunities to fix the vehicle under its express warranty, but it refused. So she turned to the Auto Fraud Legal Center for help. We filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleging that Hawthorne Auto Square sold our client a vehicle in defective condition and breached the warranty when it refused to fix it. The suit further alleges that Hawthorne Auto Square charged our client more than the advertised price and failed to comply with numerous laws which regulate BHPH dealers. The lawsuit demands that the dealership void the contract, refund all monies paid, pay punitive damages, and reimburse our client’s attorney’s fees and costs.
