Alexander v. Mecum Auction

Mr. Alexander filed suit in Los Angeles, California alleging that the 1959 Volkswagen Samba 23-Window he purchased at a Mecum auction is really multiple different vehicles mashed up like Frankenstein. Mecum filed a motion to dismiss alleging that it can only be sued in Wisconsin due to a forum selection clause. The Court rejected Mecum’s arguments; the case proceeds in California where the vehicle was purchased.
