DID DEALER TRICK CUSTOMER INTO RETURNING DEFECTIVE VEHICLE, WITH PROMISE TO REFUND $14,000 DOWNPAYMENT BUT THEN POCKET MONEY?

Vojkovich v. DCH Torrance Imports Inc. dba DCH Toyota of Torrance –Torrance (Los Angeles)
Our client alleges that in February 2021, he purchased a new 2021 Toyota Prius and paid $14,000 as a downpayment. When the Prius malfunctioned two weeks after purchase, DCH Toyota of Torrance’s staff allegedly promised to take back the Prius and refund all of our client’s downpayment except for a $500 “restocking fee.” Instead, our client alleges DCH Toyota of Torrance pocketed the entire $14,000 and refused to refund any of it to him. If a dealership agreed to take back your defective vehicle and refund your downpayment, but then reneged on its promise to refund, please contact david@rbblawgroup.com.
