In the case of Harutyunyan v. Von Housen’s Sacramento, Inc., the Harutyunyans allege Mercedes Benz of Sacramento persuaded them to purchase a “Certified Pre-Owned” 2016 Mercedes-Benz S550V by representing it had never been in any accidents or sustained any damage and that, if it had, it could not be sold as a “Certified Pre-Owned.” Yet, a year and a half later, Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC, denied warranty coverage due to an accident, which the Harutyunyans allege occurred before they bought it.
