Quevedo-Vargas v. Shumard Enterprises LLC dba Roy’s Auto Center – Eureka (Humboldt County)

Our client alleges that Roy’s Auto Center, a “buy here pay here” (“BHPH”) dealership, sold her a 2011 Volkswagen CC with a Buyers Guide stating that the vehicle was sold “AS IS” without a warranty (which is against the law for BHPH dealers) and didn’t have a reasonable-market-value label on the vehicle (also against the law for BHPH dealers) and that the VW underwent 5 repair attempts within 30 days of purchase and could not be successfully repaired.
