Client sued Autoville Motors, a buy-here, pay-here dealership, for selling her a used vehicle with serious mechanical issues. Client demanded Autoville repair the vehicle or repurchase it. Autoville refused. Client sued Autoville for breach of buy-here, pay-here laws and violation of the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. Arbitrator awarded Client return of her payments, reimbursement for rental/towing expenses, pre-judgment interest, and a $5,000 civil penalty.
