Vehicle Subject to Class Action Subsequently Sold as “Honda Certified” – Jimenez v. Harvey & Madding, Inc., et al.
In the case of Jimenez v. Harvey & Madding, Inc., Ms. Jimenez claims Dublin Honda sold her a used 2015 Honda CR-V that was the subject of a previous class action, which arose from allegations that the 2015 CR-V suffered from a defect that caused the vehicle to vibrate “to the point of nausea.” (Romaya v. Am. Honda Motor Co. Inc. (C.D.Cal. 2015, No. 2:2015-cv-03938).) Ms. Jimenez alleges, rather than disclosing the known vibration defect, Dublin Honda represented to her that the vehicle was a Honda Certified Pre-Owned. Meanwhile, she alleges American Honda Motor Company, Inc., violated California law by allowing its “certified” label to be placed on 2015 Honda CR-Vs.
