The Diesel with Missing Smog Equipment.
Larry Green Ford, Inc., located in Blythe in Riverside County, sold a consumer a Ford F-450 diesel. The dealer allegedly told the consumer it had recently repaired the engine and it ran great. Despite that, the dealer then tried to sell the truck “as-is.” The consumer agreed to buy the truck, but soon after the truck’s engine had problems. Consumer took it to a local shop to have it looked at and found out the truck had several of its emissions control components removed, could not pass smog, and that the truck needed a new short block. So much for running great. But this consumer called the Auto Fraud Legal Center, got a free consultation, and is now seeking to right this wrong.
