Sunrise Motors Said Nothing Was Wrong, Then Portfolio Denied Coverage
Our clients purchased a 2008 Ford F-450 from Sunrise Motors, located in Yuba City, in Sutter County. Sunrise Motors sold our client a service contract with the truck, sometimes called an “extended warranty,” for $4,000, with the promise that anything that might go wrong with the vehicle would be covered.
Soon after purchase a tapping noise could be heard while driving. Our client alleges he brought the truck to Sunrise Motors, who repeatedly told our client there was nothing wrong and the sound was normal. The truck’s engine subsequently shut down and the service contract company, Portfolio Services Limited, Inc., refused to cover the repairs.
