Rodriguez v. Hollywood Rides and Westlake Financial Services – Los Angeles County

Case update. All dealerships in California are required to post a surety bond as a condition for getting and maintaining their dealership license. In this case, the DMV shows a bond issued by Great American Insurance Company in 2012 but Great American Insurance Company claims to have terminated that bond in 2013. If true, the absence of another recorded surety bond would automatically suspend Hollywood Rides’ dealership license—making every sale illegal since the 2013 cancelation.
