ODOMETER FRAUD?
Padilla v. Ontario Automotive LLC dba Penske Honda Ontario – Ontario (San Bernardino)
Our client bought a 2015 Honda Civic from Penske Honda Ontario. The Honda was listed as having 43,055 miles. However, four months after buying the Honda, our client received a “Suspense Customer Copy” of the Honda’s registration from the DMV that showed the registration was suspended because of the odometer. DMV records show that in 2018, two years before selling the Honda to our client, Penske Honda Ontario sold the same 2015 Honda to another buyer and listed the Honda as having 65,172 miles – 22,000 miles MORE than what was reported at the time of sale to our client.
