Nissan’s AEB is Suddenly Stopping Vehicles for No Reason

Nissan’s AEB is Suddenly Stopping Vehicles for No Reason

In 2018, Nissan began installing in its vehicles Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) systems to work together at preventing rear-end collisions.  Nissan uses cameras, sensors, and/or radar, and the FCW will issue visual and audible alerts if there’s an obstacle in the road ahead.  If a collision is imminent, AEB will activate the brakes automatically.

Nissan installed the AEB on the following models:

The AEB problem is that these sensors and cameras are easily fooled.  These Nissan vehicles will apparently stop for no reason.  The safety concerns are obvious.
