Gow v. AutoNation Ford Tustin

In June 2018 our client went to AutoNation Ford Tustin in Orange County for the purpose of buying a reliable car. Our client met with AutoNation’s salesperson who showed him a used 2010 Audi Q5, which AutoNation Ford Tustin was offering for sale. During the negotiation for the sale, our client alleges that the AutoNation salesperson told him that AutoNation “stands behind” all its cars because they are thoroughly inspected. Our client further alleges it was represented to him that the 2010 Audi Q5 had undergone 125-point inspection process and the salesperson showed him an “AutoNation Pre-Owned Vehicle 125 Point Inspection Check List,” or as it is normally called in the trade, a “CPO Checklist. Our client also alleges that during his meeting with AutoNation’s finance manager he was again shown the CPO Checklist as proof of the thorough inspection.

Our complaint alleges the 2010 Audi Q5 was also represented as being covered by an express Dealer Warranty for the engine transmission and electrical systems among other components. Our complaint alleges that based on the representations of AutoNation Ford Tustin’s employees, our client purchased the Audi Q5. The complaint alleges that despite being sold as “certified,” the 2010 Audi was sold to our client with an Open Recall. Our complaint also alleges that within hours of purchase he had to return the Audi to AutoNation Ford Tustin because of engine problems. Since that time, our client alleges that his 2010 Audi Q5, has been in for repairs at least 3 times for over 55 days (on one repair alone it was, kept for over 30 days) and been driven less than 2,000 miles at that time. Our client alleges his 2010 Audi remains defective and in a state of disrepair.

This legal team is amazing! Yes our case took time but they were always ready to answer any of our questions and we had a lot!
