Did You Buy a Car and Find Out Later It Was in an Accident?

Time and time again, Rosner, Barry & Babbitt’s Auto Fraud Legal Center hears the same story: a consumer goes to a used car dealer, spots a vehicle that looks pretty nice and drives decently. The consumer asks the dealership whether the vehicle has been in any accidents or crashes, and the dealer says no and gives her a “clean” Carfax. The consumer goes home with the car and starts noticing problems with the vehicle pulling, or the gears not shifting properly. Fast forward a year later, when the consumer goes to trade the car in, only to find out it had previously been in an accident (or two!), and the trade-in is now practically worthless.
