DeMone v. Car Search USA

Car Search USA in North Hollywood sold a 2013 Kia Forte with representations the vehicle came with a Kia Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) warranty. The warranty was void do to the prior owner’s poor maintenance that caused sludge in the engine. Case settled with Car Search refunding almost all of the purchase money. Kia Motors America and Kia of Irvine—who allegedly certified the vehicle with sludge in the engine—settled separately for confidential amounts.
